Eight fishermen, who were reported missing since October 22 in the waters off Carles town, have been safely rescued and are now in good health, confirmed the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Iloilo Station. Commander Jan Terazona reported that the fishermen were located and recovered in separate operations with the assistance of passing ships. The fishermen ventured into the sea ignoring a PCG advisory that warned of perilous conditions due to Tropical Storm Kristine.
