Sapian Bay in Capiz province has red tide toxins, according to the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR). In an advisory dated Aug. 29, BFAR director Asis Perez urged the public to refrain from eating, gathering, transporting or marketing shellfish from Sapian Bay. Consuming shellfish from Sapian Bay at this time could result to paralytic shellfish poisoning (PSP), warned Perez.
