The Department of Science and Technology (DoST) provided the Pangasinan State University (PSU) P90 million for the university's research and development on salt production. The grant was awarded by the Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development, an agency under the DoST, through the Niche Centers in the Regions for Research and Development for its Accelerating Salt Research and Innovation program after five attempts or proposals, PSU President Elbert Galas said.
