BFAR backs blacklisting of fish smugglers
Excerpt
The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) expressed support for the Department of Agriculture’s move to blacklist smugglers, including fish products as it said this not only puts the livelihood of local fishermen at risk but is also harmful to public safety. "BFAR's policy is also to fight these smuggling activities because they really result in the disruption of our pricing in the market,” BFAR spokesperson Nazario Briguera said Thursday in a media forum in Quezon City.
