    Excerpt
A group of fishermen on Tuesday urged the Department of Agriculture (DA) to call off its plan to import 35,000 metric tons of fish next month to prevent further decrease in farm-gate prices of fish that will impact small fishermen. The Pambansang Lakas ng Kilusang Mamamalakaya ng Pilipinas (Pamalakaya) said that it has already monitored the decrease in farm-gate prices of various fish including galunggong at P100 per kilogram and bonito at P80 per kilo, in several areas in the country.
