The salvaging of a sunken vessel in Mariveles waters in Bataan has started last Jan. 5. Philippine Coast Guard (PCG)-Bataan commander Jonathan Serote said the Irzolex Inc., owner of the MV Hong Hai which sank last year off Mariveles, has been contracted by HF Marine Pte. Ltd. for the salvaging operation. MV Hong Hai 189 reportedly capsized near the coastal area of Barangay Sisiman, Mariveles on April 28, 2023.
