    Five Filipino fishermen narrowly dodged a brush with death when their boat was rammed by a vessel bearing the flag of China off the shores of Paluan, Occidental Mindoro, on 5 December, the Philippine Coast Guard reported on Thursday. The PCG said the five fishermen, identified as Junrey Sardan, Ryan Jay Daus, Bryan Pangatungam, Cristian Arizala and Joshua Barbas, were rescued after their boat, Ruel J, collided with bulk carrier vessel, MV Tai Hang 8, at around 4 p.m.
