Philippines Coast Guard Commandant Admiral Ronnie Gil Gavan has directed PCG District Palawan to deploy rigid hull inflatable boats (RHIBs) from BRP Teresa Magbanua (MRRV-9701) to provide security and assistance to Filipino fishing boats in Escoda (Sabina) Shoal in the West Philippine Sea. Gavan’s directive is in support of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources’ (BFAR) initiative to distribute fuel assistance to Filipino fishing boats in the area.
