To enhance the region’s research, development, and extension (R4DE) priorities for the agriculture and fishery sectors, the Department of Agriculture (DA) recently held a transition meeting in Iloilo City to establish the Agriculture and Fisheries Resources, Research, and Extension for Development Network (AFRREDN). The merger of the existing Western Visayas Regional Research Development and Extension Network (WESVIRRDEN) and the Da-agricultural Training Institute’s Regional Agriculture and Fisheries Extension Network (RAFEN) into AFRREDN aims to facilitate the effective implementation of relevant, inclusive, and well-coordinated R4DE programs.
