P500-M initial fund eyed to jumpstart Panay River project

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Region 6 has proposed a P500-million allocation from its 2024 regional budget to jumpstart activities for Panay River Basin Integrated Development Project (PRBIDP) in Capiz province. Assistant Regional Director Jose Al Fruto said once the initial budget is available, they can begin the activities particularly for the proposed 7.5-kilometer Cogon-Jamul-awon Floodway, one of the major components of the PRBIDP.
