An intensified program to bring field-tested ready-to-apply technology on prawn culture has begun to bolster the prawn industry of the Philippines. The Philippine-based Aquaculture Department of the Southeast Asian Center has launched a vigorous program to assist prawn farmers as well as those raising milkfish, tilapia and other species. This was announced recently by the Department Chief Alfredo C. Santiago, Jr.
