Fisherfolk from Nueva Ecija province who were affected by Super Typhoon Karding (Typhoon Noru) in September last year on Tuesday received some 100,000 catfish (hito) fingerlings from the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Central Luzon. The fingerlings were distributed to fish growers in Gapan City, Nueva Ecija province to help them recover from the devastation, start anew their livelihood activities, and boost the region's aquaculture sector.
