The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) in Central Visayas warned the public to avoid being stung by jellyfish following the death of a 31-year-old tourist in Sta. Fe on Bantayan Island. Director Allan Poquita said the box jellyfish can trigger allergies and high blood pressure that may lead to death.
