The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) is preparing to launch a project that will provide more livelihood opportunities for fisherfolk living in the vicinity of the West Philippine Sea (WPS). BFAR Chief Information Officer Nazario Briguera said that the project, called Layag West Philippine Sea, will cover beneficiaries from the Ilocos Region, Central Luzon, and Mimaropa, particularly areas near the West Philippine Sea.
