Seven Chinese fishermen were rescued in the waters off the coast of Suluan Island in Guiuan, Eastern Samar yesterday after their fishing boat was damaged. Philippine Coast Guard (PCG)-Tacloban sub-station commander Ricky Soniega said they received a distress call at around 3 p.m. on Thursday. The hull of the vessel was reportedly damaged, causing it to list.
