The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) is currently assessing the impact of an oil spill caused by a tugboat that submerged on Wednesday off Subukin Port in San Juan, Batangas. Initial shoreline assessment conducted by the PCG Marine Environmental Protection Group-Batangas Thursday afternoon determined that oil scattered to approximately 300 square meters wide within the vicinity of the port in Barangay Subukin.
