Farmer's group Philippine Chamber of Agriculture and Food Inc. (PCAFI) President Danilo Fausto on Wednesday called on the Marcos administration to develop the country's aquaculture through the establishment of Aquaculture Fishery Industry Development Roadmap (AFIDR) amid the continued decline in fisheries production where it registered a negative growth of -5 percent in 2022. During the PCAFIHAN forum in Quezon City, Fausto noted that despite the country's enormous marine resource potential, the share of the fishing and aquaculture sector to the country's gross domestic product (GDP) is relatively small.
