The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources revealed that more than half of the 25,056.27 metric tons of imported round scad or galunggong ordered in November last year has entered the country to stabilize local supply while the three-month closed fishing season is not yet lifted. In a statement Thursday, the agency said that the current 13,856.64 MT of imported fish helps the current market price of galunggong to remain stable at P280 per kilo for local catch and around P220 to P240 per kilo for imported fish.
