The Department of Science and Technology Region-Davao Region (DOST-Davao) signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Department of Agriculture Philippine Rural Development Project Mindanao (DAPRDP), the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources-Davao (BFAR-Davao), and the Davao Oriental State University (DOrSU) for the launching of research project on indigenous raw materials for Bangus (milkfish) feeds. DOrSU Associate Professor and Project Leader Dr. Edison Roi Macusi said that the high cost of feeds is the number one identified problem in terms of milkfish aquaculture.
