    Excerpt
International think tank Stratbase ADR Institute branded China’s new “standard” map as a desperate attempt to legitimize its territorial claims, which are largely unrecognized. In a statement, Thursday, Stratbase President Victor Andres “Dindo” Manhit said the 2023 version of the map is a blatant violation of international law. The said map was released by China’s Ministry of Natural Resources last August 28.
