    Excerpt
Security experts said on Wednesday that the Philippine government must formulate a national strategy asserting the country's position on the West Philippine Sea (WPS). "This national strategy is so important for us to clarify and assert our national position and, at the same time, defend our sovereignty and protect our sovereign rights," said Dr. Rommel Banlaoi, former president of the Philippine Association for Chinese Studies and current chairman of the Philippine Institute for Peace, Violence and Terrorism Research during the Pandesal Forum at the Kamuning Bakery Cafe.
