The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) of Antique asked the Office of Civil Defense (OCD), Philippine Air Force (PAF) and Philippine Navy (PNA) to search for two missing fishermen from Barbaza town. Gaudencio Espartero, 30, and Ramil Victoriano, 28, ventured out to fish in Cuyo, Palawan around 8 a.m. on Feb. 9 aboard an unnamed, sky-blue motor boat. Both were from Barangay Lisub, Barbaza, Antique.
