To protect and conserve the marine ecosystem in the province of Sorsogon, local fishers have established a mangrove nursery which they intend to use to rehabilitate degraded mangrove forests in the province. The move is part of the effort to enrich the marine ecosystem in Sorsogon. A mangrove nursery is a place for raising and tending seedlings or propagules until they are ready for permanent planting on suitable soil.
