The price of fish in the local market may soar to record highs once a government-issued regulatory measure said to be detrimental to the commercial fishing community is reinstated. Fisheries Administrative Order 266 issues in 2020 by the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, or BFAR, mandates all commercial fishing operators to install a vessel monitoring system for tracking and reporting their catch.
