    Excerpt
Scientists see a slim chance of an El Niño occurrence in the next few months as temperatures in the Pacific Ocean have dropped in the past two weeks. In a seasonal climate outlook released yesterday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said most climate models indicate an El Niño Southern Oscillation (ENSO)-neutral warm condition would persist at least until next month. Australia’s Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) reported recently that most indicators have slipped away from El Niño threshold conditions.
