The Department of Agriculture-National Fisheries Research and Development Institute (DA-NFRDI) and the Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) have signed an agreement for a two-year partnership to develop an oral subunit protein vaccine to combat the tilapia lake virus. This project, which harnesses the innovative Baculovirus Expression Vector System, is funded by the Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development. The research will evaluate the vaccine's safety, effectiveness and production costs within controlled laboratory conditions.
