Sardine makers won't recall price hike request
Excerpt
Canned sardine manufacturers won’t take back their earlier request to raise the price ceiling on their products as their input cost continues to shoot up due to rising fuel prices and the weakening of the peso against the US dollar. “Our answer is no,” Francisco Buencamino, executive director of Canned Sardines Association of the Philippines (CSAP), said when asked whether the group would rescind its request to increase the suggested retail price (SRP) for their products.
