The Department of Public Works and Highways ( DPWH) has completed riverbank protection structures on the left and right banks of the Binalbagan River located in Hinigaran, Negros Occidental. DPWH Region 6 director Nerie Bueno said the construction of slope protection on steel sheet piles, embankments, and reinforced concrete walls with parapets – with a total length of 392 lineal meters on both sides – will prevent streambank erosion or failure.
