A stranded adult male pygmy sperm whale (Kogia breviceps) was found dead along the coast of Magatan village in Sanchez Mira, Cagayan, at about 6:30 in the morning on Wednesday, October 12, by a fisherman, the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Region 2 said on Friday. Ridel Cabulisan, a local government employee, reported the discovery to the Claveria Brackish Water Technology Outreach Station in Pata East, Claveria, Cagayan.
