Fishermen from Apalit, Mexico, Minalin, Porac, and Sasmuan towns recently received assistance from the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR). The aid goes in the form of equipment and gear to help the fishermen enhance fishpond operations. BFAR Region 3 Director Wilfredo Cruz said the bureau is responding to requests from the local government units where the fisher-beneficiaries come from.
