    Excerpt
The government on Thursday expressed outrage against China’s coast guard whose ships blocked and blasted with powerful jets of water two Filipino vessels carrying food and other supplies for a Marine detachment at a shoal in the West Philippine Sea. “Fortunately, no one was hurt; but our boats had to abort their resupply mission,” Foreign Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. said in a statement on the Tuesday night incident which involved three Chinese Coast Guard ships near Ayungin (Second Thomas) Shoal.
