One of Siargao Island's popular tourist spots, Sugba Lagoon, is set to be closed to the public from Jan. 10 to Feb. 10, 2020. According to an announcement posted on Be Siargao, the island's community magazine, the lagoon's temporary closure was ordered by the Mangrove Protection and Information Center of Del carmen as it will undergo its annual " environmental recovery and rehabilitation."
