The deadline to submit prequalification documents for the government’s biggest public-private partnership (PPP) project has been moved to Feb. 27, at the request of prospective bidders, an official said. Ariel C. Angeles, the Department of Public Works and Highways’ (DPWH) PPP Service officer-in-charge and director, said in a phone interview that the “deadline of submission of prequalification documents for the [P122.8-billion] Laguna Lakeshore [Expressway Dike project] has been moved to Feb. 27 from Jan. 14.” The parties preparing bids said “the project is too big so they’re asking for more time to prepare their documents and strategies,” he explained. Mr. Angeles added that the announcement of prequalified bidders will be “20 days after the submission of the documents.”
