The campaign to declare Panaon Island in Southern Leyte as a protected seascape under the Expanded National Integrated Protected Areas System Act gets a boost with the filing of a bill in the Senate. Senate Bill 1690 has been filed for the inclusion of Panaon Island as a marine protected area under E-NIPAS.
