The Department of Agriculture (DA) has outlined its initiatives for growing agribusiness sector, focused on improving quality standards to help make Philippine products more competitive. In a statement yesterday, the agency said another priority is to create an efficient business environment to help local farmers increase their earnings. In developing the sector, the DA also cited the need to encourage foreign business to set their sights on the Philippines.
