Senatorial aspirant Harry Roque vowed to amend the 2009 Philippine Baselines Law, saying it took out a "large portion" of the country's territory. He said the measure, also known as Republic Act 9522, contradicted the treaty of Pris of 1898, which supposedly demarcated the country's territory before any existing international treaty.
