The Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office 3 (DA-RFO3) recently distributed hybrid rice seeds and fertilizers to farmers of Central Luzon in celebration of the Month of Farmers and Fisherfolk this May. Regional technical director for Operation and Extension Eduardo Lapuz Jr. disclosed that it is part of the agency’s mandate to help the farmers and fisherfolk to increase their production and earnings. He added that the agriculture sector is the first to rise after a calamity.
