    Excerpt
At least 971 farmers and fishermen in southern Cebu received a fuel discount card each from the Department of Agriculture in Central Visayas (DA 7) that will be used for their livelihood. Each fuel discount card contains P3,000 worth of fuel credits from partner oil companies that could help mitigate the impact of rising oil prices. Of the 971 beneficiaries, 717 were farmers from the 33 barangays in Argao town and 34 from a barangay in Dumanjug, while 220 were fishermen from the cities of Naga and Carcar and the towns of Minglanilla, Argao, Boljoon, Oslob, Malabuyoc, Badian, Moalboal, Alcantara and Barili.
