From 36 fishermen who dared to operate without permits, the municipal government of Concepcion collected a total of P90,000 in fines. Police Officer 3 Charlie Asturias of the Provincial Bantay Dagat Task Force reported on Tuesday that the fishermen were caught using squid trawl and cast net. The operatives apprehended 24 fishermen catching squid eight kilometers from the coastline of Baliguian Island, Barangay Taloto-an, all in Concepcion town.
