    Excerpt
SEN. Christopher Lawrence "Bong" Go on Wednesday reminded the government to prioritize the interest of the Filipino people amid proposals for joint energy exploration in the West Philippine Sea (WPS) between the Philippines and China. Go reiterated that he, as a matter of principle, is open to the proposal as long as the nation's territorial integrity is not jeopardized and that it would benefit the people. "In principle, I have no objection to the planned joint exploration with China as long as it will not affect the territorial integrity of the country in doing so, which means that we should prioritize the interest of our countrymen," he said.
