It’s back to business for shellfish vendors as the Capiz provincial government has lifted the total shellfish ban on five towns and this city. The ban ended after three samplings conducted by the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) on affected areas tested negative of red tide toxin. Capiz Gov. Victor Tanco issued Executive Order No. 011 dated Oct. 8, 2015 lifting the total shellfish ban, thus allowing vendors in the whole province to transport, sell, and consume all kinds of shellfish.en
