The chief of the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center's Philippine office yesterday said all is well in his three research stations. Dr. Flor Lacanilao said his reported disputes with Dr. Alfredo Santiago, a researcher, "are academic in nature". "The allegations that the present research policies of the center do not benefit small fishermen is cheap politicking," Lacanilao said in a press statement.
