Resources at the Malampaya natural gas facility are continuously declining, and the government is persistently searching for an alternative. However, the oil exploration activities in the country, which where supposed to help augment supply, are now in limbo. Activities in the West Philippine Sea (WPS) were suspended earlier this month as decided by the Security, Justice and Peace Cabinet Cluster (SJPCC).
