    Excerpt
Integrated agriculture-aquaculture farming practices have been introduced to help the farmers in maximizing the use of their farmlands, at the same time contributing to efforts in increasing food security. Under the integrated farming system, the farmers should set aside a small area of their farmland for fish farming. This way, farms will be more sustainable, productive, and profitable as compared with traditional farms that rely mainly on slash-and-burn cropping.
