local.seafdecaqd.extractA multi-purpose aqua laboratory which complements the fish hatchery complex of the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC-AQD) in Igang, Guimaras island, was inaugurated recently by MP Narciso D. Monfort, chairman of the Batasan sub-committee on fisheries and aquatic resources. Equipped with saltwater and aeration systems, the laboratory is now operational and being used for year-round spawning of milkfish, prawns, apahap, groupers (lapu-lapu) and siganids.en
