The government has to invest more on research activities to push economic development in the country. This was stated by Dr. Flor Lacanilao, chief of the SEAFDEC (Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center) Aquaculture Department (AQD), during the recently concluded first Aquaculture Development conference in Southeast Asia held last Sept. 8-12.
