The establishment of a fish farming assistance unit in each of the regions of the country to accelerate the development of fishery industries was sought yesterday in the Batasang Pambansa. MP Narciso Monfort (KBL, Iloilo) made the proposal in a resolution urging the National Board of the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (Seafdec) aquaculture department to set up the regional fish farming assistance unit.
