Member of Parliament Augusto G. Ortiz (KBL, Sorsogon) has requested the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) and the aquaculture department of the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development (Seafdec-AQD) to prepare a technology transfer program for fishfarmers in Bicol. In a letter request sent to BFAR Director Felix Gonzales, Ortiz said that through the adoption of simple and inexpensive farming technologies, the small fishfarmers in Bicol could increase their income.
