    Excerpt
An official of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) yesterday charge that "politics derailed the technological advancement in bangus (milkfish) breeding by almost four years" even as he disclosed that the perennial problem in the supply of bangus fry may soon be over. The DENR official, who declined to be identified, disclosed that the aquaculture department of the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (Seafdec-AQD) based in Iloilo, has finally found the technique to gather the eggs spawned by bangus breeders (sabalo) that are bred in captivity.
