    Excerpt
In its desire to become the world's top prawn producer, the Philippines may yet end up holding an empty bag because of problems faced by the Taiwanese, a source of tiger prawn fry for this country. In a report to the Department of Agriculture, Dr. Flor J. Lacanilao, chief of the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center's agriculture department, said the local prawn industry may yet be wiped out because of the unabated dumping of prawn fry from Taiwan.
